Conditions of Entry
1 Entry is open to all photographers worldwide, amateur and professional.
2 Classes: A - General B—Creative C - Natural History (inc.Wildlife) D - Photo Travel.
(All classes may be Colour or Monochrome Images - Class B electronic imaging only)
3 All acceptances count towards FIAP and PSA awards.
4 Entries accepted at a previous Welsh International Exhibition, or so similar as to
be almost identical regardless of title, ARE NOT eligible.
5 Each entrant is limited to 4 images per section, either digital or slide—NOT MIXED
WITHIN ANY SECTION. THE SAME IMAGE MUST NOT BE SUBMITTED IN MORE
THAN ONE SECTION.
6 Digital entries may be submitted via the internet (preferred method) or on a
CDR/DVDR Title to be the same on image and entry form. Entries submitted via the
internet should be made via the Welsh International web page.

7 CD’s / DVD’s WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
8 Use the following Format for your Image Filename:
surname-x-####-yz.jpg
Where x is the first character of your given name.
#### is the last four digits of your phone number.
Where y is the Section Letter (A, B, C, D)
Where z is the image number (1, 2, 3, 4)

    Example: smith -j- 1234-A1.jpg (This is image number 1 entered in Section A, by John Smith, phone no. 727-784-1234

Digital images must be a maximum of 1400 pixels wide and 1050 pixels high (including
any borders)
at 300ppi saved as a JPG maximum size and not more than 2Mb per
image.The image name and title should not be greater than 35 characters. Colour source sRGB or Adobe RGB 1998. Entries not meeting the
specifications may not be displayed correctly. Please print entrant name on CD
9 Photographic slides—size 2” (5cm) square correctly spotted. Each slide image must
show the name and address of the entrant plus the image title. Use adequate
wrapping (reusable for return please).
10 ENTRY FORM (found at www.welshinternationalsalon.co.uk)
1 Click on a browse button in the section you are entering to find the image you wish to
enter on your computer, then click open.
2 Go to the title field next to the browse button and fill in your image title.
3 Repeat 1 and 2 for each image you are sending.
4 When you have completed your entry, click on the submit button and under this button
you will see your images being uploaded.
5 After uploading has completed you will be taken to the PayPal page for payment.
6 Click on the number of sections you have entered, PayPal will confirm the price in
Sterling (£) but if you pay in another currency PayPal will automatically do the conversion.
7 You will receive a confirmation email with full details of your entry. If you do not receive
this please check your spam folder before advising us of non-receipt.
11 CD ROMS should follow the same file reference system as above. Entries should use the attached PDF paper entry form. The payment and postage details are included on the form, which when completed should be posted with the CD.
12 An entrant’s four images in each round will be judged at random.
13 Permission to reproduce any image at low resolution in an internet exhibition or in our
catalogue of the Salon is assumed.
14 The organisers may refuse to accept an entry/image at their discretion.
15 The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyright. Copyright of the
images accepted for catalogue and support of our Salon is retained by the author.
16 PayPal is our preferred method of payment. Please refer to the table of charges.
Cheques should be made payable to "The Welsh Photographic Federation” and be
drawn on a UK mainland Bank. If no entry fee is received, entry will be deemed
ineligible and will not be judged or returned.
17 Confirmation of your entry will be emailed automatically after submission.
18 This competition is run under FIAP and PSA rules.
19 All entrants will be sent a catalogue of the Salon.
20 Submission of an entry signifies acceptance of and compliance with all entry conditions
by the entrant.
21 AWARDS—In recognition of the efficient management of the 2009 Welsh International
we will award a number of FIAP and PSA medals plus other awards in each section.
Accepted entries will be eligible for FIAP awards and the PSA’s ‘Who’s Who’ and Star
Rating.
